Corvera Golf update – February 2010

February 8th, 2010

Welcome to the first report of 2010 – just a brief update with plenty of photos.

Regarding the photos, I have concentrated on the completed areas, and those areas that are showing very nice signs of growth and maturity. I spent some time with new owner Jay Brown who was visiting with his son Dominic. They were both pretty pleased with what they saw, and actually commentated that my regular photos did not do the place justice! Sounds like my old teacher, “Stuart tries hard, but could do better”.

I was able to take some great scenery shots from inside a couple of apartments and despite all the delays, I still maintain there is great potential at Corvera and the views are just tremendous.

I’m afraid there was no work going on at the Clubhouse. I have heard that completion is now due towards the end of the Summer, but I have had no official confirmation of that.

The areas around the latest part of the resort are now completed. I am referring to the Magnolia villa’s and the Menta apartments, where it all looks great! I have noticed a few people moving in. New owners Frank and Linda Fraser from just outside Edinburgh are delighted with their property, they have just completed the purchase of their Menta penthouse apartment and are in the process of furnishing it, they both love it and can not wait to come back in March to start to enjoy their new home in the sun.

The Phase 3 apartments on the hill have not been worked on since before Christmas and again I have had no official confirmation of anything here, but definitely no work going on there for now.

I am constantly being asked about the Phase 3 properties near the entrance roundabout. There is still no sign of any work here, and this is obviously a great cause for concern.

Should anybody have any enquiries about these Phase 3 properties, please feel free to call me on 00 34 680 842 895 or e-mail me directly to discuss your options.

The golf course was open with a few owners enjoying the lovely sunny weather. Obviously there is still lots of work required here, but the greens and t-boxes all in great shape. I do wish those playing at present would remember to repair their pitch marks, it can only be the owners not doing so at present, as they are the only ones playing.

On a more positive note the new international airport at Corvera is absolutely flying along, loads of work being carried out with dozens of workers on site and lots of trucks, cranes, etc all working, so that has to be excellent news, final funding was approved and made available well before Christmas to complete the work on the new airport, so as previously reported here, construction should be completed by early next year at the latest, watch this space for more information!

That is about it for now, should anybody need any help or assistance please do not hesitate to get in touch, we are very busy at present helping people with their mortgages and furniture requirements, if we can be of any assistance do not hesitate to contact us.

Good luck to everybody for 2010.

Corvera Golf and Country Club – Report November 2009

November 14th, 2009

Welcome to the latest update for Corvera Golf and Country Club, we have some excellent news…

THE GOLF COURSE IS NOW OPEN AND IT IS SENSATIONAL.

Obviously this is great news for everybody, we have taken lots of photos of the golf course, including some of people actually playing the course.

Jed from Gateshead who is an owner of one of the front line golf villa’s plays off a handicap of 7 and was enjoying his second round of golf. He just hit a superb approach shot in to one of the greens for a birdie putt.

He said the course was playing superbly, the tees and greens are fantastic, but the fairways needed maturing, well we knew that but after inspecting the course, we found the course generally to be in great shape, another six to twelve months and the whole golf course will be looking absolutely immaculate.

The very kind people in the pro shop loaned us a buggy so we could drive around the golf course and take a load of pictures, hopefully you will be able to get a good idea of what we saw.

The lakes are full, and very much come in to play on quite a few of the holes, the many undulations and the various levels throughout the course make for a very attractive setting.

The course offers many attractive holes, the obvious ones around the water, particularly where the water cuts right in to the green on one hole. The 17th par 3 is a wonderful looking, but quite a difficult looking challenge, and the 18th is quite daunting – a downhill drive, then your second shot across the stream to a raised green protected by bunkers short and right with lovely trees long.

Also the clubhouse is looking directly over the green, so get ready for an audience watching your approach shot!

The golf course has probably been opened a few months early, but this is purely for Corvera owners. The general public will not be allowed to use the course until the official opening in the new year.

Our overall impression of the golf course was fantastic. I’, always the eternal optimist, but I think Corvera Golf course is going to be one of the best around.

You will also see I have taken quite a few pictures of the area where the Magnolia villa’s are and the Menta apartments. This area is now ready. Just a few more weeks and all work will have been completed. A number of owners have now completed the purchase of their properties on the Menta apartments and the Magnolia villa’s, with many more over the next few months. I am happy to report that we are helping a number of them and most seem extremely happy.

I have been in a few of the Menta apartments and the distribution of space is superb, completely different to any other style of property, they are quite unique, very spacious and airy with lots of terrace space.

I have reported back personally to a number of owners who are due to complete in this area, and I am certain they are going to be very excited when they visit their property for the first time.

Great news for the Magnolia owners as well. Work is pretty much finished here now, and it all looks very nice. The one thing that was very nice is that there are lots of lemon trees planted here with lemons hanging from the trees already, don’t forget to stock up on the Gin and Tonic!

Hopefully you will get a good idea that this whole area is almost ready for occupation, and with the golf course now open it is good news all round!

The clubhouse construction is progressing well, and hopefully it will not be too much longer for that facility to be up and running, however for now there is a mini market on site near the sales office complete with a bar and cafe area. The gentleman running it is very friendly, speaks perfect English, and offers a great service.

Things seem to be progressing well at Corvera and the owners we spoke to today all seemed pretty happy, I wonder if Jed sunk that birdie putt?

I hope you enjoy this latest report and all the photos.

Finally, we have received a very nice comment from a Corvera owner, please see what they had to say.

Well Stuart! what can I say! We came back from Corvera last week in fact it is looking fantastic!

I would clearly like to thank your wonderful management company. Due to a couple of snagging problems, we where unable to stay in our property. When we arrived we were met by Chris Dean, who I can say was wonderful, he could not do enough for us. He arranged for us to stay at Roda, where Gillian was there to meet us, and looked after us. She also couldn’t do enough for us.

I can honestly say that we were more than happy with the standard of cleaning (very high standard) and management. We did actually move into our property three days later with most of the snagging done. Again thanks to Chris for his help and back up. He looked after us so well, we could not wish for better – so friendly and helpful. We now have two great friends in Chris and Gillian

Good luck to you all – We chose the best!

With kind Regards,

Gary and Janet (only thing was i could have stayed a bit longer. Loved it!)
